Riders are no longer required to wear a mask while on the T. The MBTA continues to follow CDC guidelines in encouraging people to wear face masks on public transit. Please respect your fellow passengers' decisions.
The following service and operations policies are in place based on CDC guidelines and the end of the Massachusetts COVID-19 public health emergency:
- The CharlieCard Store is open Tuesday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5 PM and Monday by appointment only.
- Masks are encouraged, but not required, for passengers and drivers in RIDE vehicles.
