Crews continue to work diligently at Wellington Yard. Since the project began, the Orange Line team has replaced over 4 miles of track and 55 units of special trackwork.

Currently, crews are replacing ductbanks and installing electrical components such as traction power cable, signal connections, and more. Here you can see crews demolish the crossing between the mainline and Wellington’s South Yard, one of the primary entrances for vehicles. New track, ties, ballast, and third rail will also be installed giving the yard an overall rehabilitation to accommodate the new Orange Line fleet.

Stay tuned for more updates from the Orange Line Transformation team!
