Building a Better T
As part of our $9.6 billion, 5-year capital investment plan, we're renovating stations, modernizing fare collection systems, upgrading services for our buses, subways, and ferries, and improving the accessibility of the entire system.
What We're Working On
We are working on preliminary engineering to complete state and federal environmental reviews, and continuing coordination with stakeholders.
Notice of Project Change (NPC)
On October 2, 2023, we submitted an NPC to the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) Office of the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA).
The notice includes:

After we submitted the NPC, it was available for public review and comment. The comment period ended October 31, 2023.
MEPA Certificate
After submitting our NPC, we received our MEPA certificate on November 13, 2023. Next, we must submit a supplemental draft environmental impact report (SDEIR).
