Third New Elevator Installed at Oak Grove Station
Updated on July 25, 2022
As part of the Oak Grove Station Accessibility Improvements, we’re constructing three new elevators and replacing one existing elevator.
In July 2022, a new elevator opened at Oak Grove adjacent to the Banks Place busway. This elevator provides riders with an accessible pathway between the busway and the station lobby.
This elevator is the last of the new elevators to be installed at the station. In August 2021, crews installed the second new elevator connecting the station lobby to the station platform. In early 2021, the first elevator, connecting riders to Washington Street.
While construction is still underway at Oak Grove, the station is open, and all entrances and exits are usable. In late 2022, we will replace the final elevator and complete station improvements.
