Recent Updates
Moran Park Is Closed as of March 2, 2023
Due to upcoming construction activities and demolition, Moran Park at Natick Center will be closed until the new pedestrian bridge is completed in winter 2023. The closure of the park is necessary to ensure the safety of residents.
An alternative route shown below is available via North Main Street.
Temporary Relocation of Station Entrances
The current station entrances will be closed and relocated to Washington Street starting February 13. This will allow the contractor to complete the work on the west end of the station safely and efficiently.
These temporary entrances are planned to be open through spring 2024.
The quickest walking route from the existing to the new entrances is shown in blue dashed lines.

What to Expect During Construction
Please note that these dates are approximate. Anticipated completion of the Natick Center Station been extended to early 2024. The station will remain open throughout construction.
- Through spring 2024: Construction of the platforms, stairs, and elevators
- Spring through winter 2023: Pedestrian bridge replacement
- Winter 2024: Demolition of existing temporary platforms, streetscape work, and Cochituate Rail Trail connection
Construction primarily takes place on weekdays during daytime hours. Nighttime work will take place as required.
For public safety, we have installed temporary supplemental and emergency lighting. We anticipate this lighting to remain in place until the station’s permanent lighting and emergency lighting fixtures are in use. The temporary lights are set and directed downward, with little to no light spillage onto adjacent properties expected.
