Green Line Program

four photos: two construction workers tamping down tracks, a person in a hard hat directing a person in a wheelchair, a new green line train, and a green line trolley car full of riders heading to Park Street

The Green Line Program is upgrading service on the T’s most popular light rail line.

This program will improve reliability and quality of service for riders and communities served by this line. Achieving this requires major upgrades to tracks, signals, stations, facilities and vehicles.

Building a Better T

As part of our $9.6 billion, 5-year capital investment plan, we're renovating stations, modernizing fare collection systems, upgrading services for our buses, subways, and ferries, and improving the accessibility of the entire system.
