Parking Tickets for Non-payment
You have 30 days from the invoice date to dispute parking charges. You will receive a response to your appeal within 30 days, and you may be asked to schedule a hearing.
With your appeal, you’ll need to include:
- A copy of the invoice
- A short explanation for the appeal
- Evidence to support your claim, such as receipts or maps
Transit Police Violations
MBTA Transit Police violations are usually in orange envelopes, tucked under the windshield of the car. You must work with the MBTA Transit Police to pay or appeal these tickets.
If you believe you received an MBTA Transit Police parking ticket in error, you can dispute the fine by requesting a hearing within 21 days of receiving the ticket.
