Public Meeting | Accelerating Wellington Yard Reliability Upgrades (Virtual)

Note: The Orange Line diversion scheduled between July 29 - August 28 has been cancelled and will be rescheduled.

As part of Capital Transformation, please join the Orange Line Transformation team to learn about the accelerated work for the Wellington Yard and Maintenance Facility Updates project.

• The use of a full access closure will allow crews to replace over 7,000 feet of track, four units of special trackwork, and over 2,000 feet of third rail. Tracks that connect Wellington Yard to the mainline will be replaced, which requires a mainline outage
• Upgrades made through this project will improve service reliability and provide a safer, more accessible environment for workers
• Capital Transformation is also working with other departments within the MBTA to identify additional trackwork that can be replaced along the Orange Line to amplify results
