Transit Ambassadors
In the fall of 2017, the MBTA introduced the Transit Ambassador customer outreach program. Transit Ambassadors wear bright red polo shirts, sweaters, or jackets with T logos and can be found at stations throughout the system. They can help you buy tickets and passes, figure out the best way to get to your destination, and provide real-time travel information.
Transit Ambassadors also provide assistance during special events, system outages, and service disruptions.

The original pilot launched on August 2, 2017 at Massachusetts Ave and Chinatown stations.

Whether you need to get to Fenway Park or transfer to another mode of transportation, Transit Ambassadors can help you get where you need to go.
Not sure what kind of ticket or pass you need? Transit Ambassadors can help you load money onto your CharlieCard or find the best pass for your trip.
Transit Ambassadors are trained to assist customers with disabilities. Upon request, they can help customers enter or exit stations, board vehicles, or use fare vending machines.
Every Transit Ambassador is equipped with a tablet to answer commonly asked questions, provide directions, assist with trip planning, and obtain real-time information via T-Alerts to better assist customers during delays and service disruptions.
All Transit Ambassadors are trained to inspect stations for cleanliness and safety. Any safety or security concerns reported by customers are recorded and shared with Customer Service or the Transit Police.
